日本 – 第1週

Posted on 2019-04-252019-04-25 by Curtis Hertwig

Or… Japan – Week 1

It has been an intense week with lots of new experiences, not the least of which was spending the night in a Buddhist monastery, but I am now relaxing in the Ryokan Kurashiki with a self-paced day. In a bit I will go see the oldest museum of Western art in Japan.

But the big news is that the azaleas and every thing else is in bloom!!! Spring time in Japan is a great time to be here.

While there are many things to report on, images of Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines have graced these pages before, but modern architecture has been rarer. I really liked the Kyoto Station designed by Hiroshi Hara.

I submit to you my pictures. The first were taken in the morning while later ones at sunset.
