Being the end of the school year, I stole off to DC with my oldest daughter and her family. It’s always nice to see the museums through the eyes of children and it had been years since I was in any of them.
As a warning, however, my corkscrew, which I carry in my backpack for wine emergencies and is allowed by TSA on flights, was disallowed by security at the Air & Space Museum. I had to take it outside, passing trashcans at the front door, to the curb and throw it away. Rather a pain. So, if you plan to go take a second look at what you are carrying with you.
